Short Of Cash? Debts Piling Up? Ask Yourself "How Can I Earn Extra Income?"

By John Farcikan

Lying in a cold sweat every night, tossing and turning, thinking non-stop 'how can I earn extra income'? Well, you sure aren't the only person! The economic crash is having a nasty impact on everyone, and even multi-million companies are cutting corners to save every cent. Little wonder therefore that the poor man-in-the-street is facing desperate times. Even those lucky enough to be employed find themselves short of cash every month.

Probably hardest hit of all is the poor single parent who has a job but the earnings are way too low to support the family. And there's just no time left in the day or night to get other work to supplement the income. If this sounds like you, it's time to do something about it - don't keep asking yourself 'How can I earn extra money?' It's time to explore some ideas... Now!

You could consider child sitting as an option. Trustworthy child sitters are in huge demand these days and, if you love kids, you could find child sitting a rewarding and well paid experience. Plus you get the bonus of being at home to look after your own children. You can do child sitting on weekends and even at night.

If you don't have kids, or you're not very child oriented, what about dog sitting? Seriously, you can do this on Saturdays and Sundays if you've got a full-time job, and earn great money. Good dog sitters are always in demand, and if you're a dog lover you might even be able to extend your services to include grooming and other related services.

There are survey companies which are always on the lookout for people who are willing to complete surveys in return for remuneration. An average survey should take you around 20 minutes to complete. Get online and register with a survey site. You'll be asked to complete a questionnaire so that they know what kind surveys will suit you.

The horizons to make extra money are much wider for people without children. But a word of warning - don't get picky about what you are prepared to do, or not do. There's no place for fussiness when the bank balance is in the red.

Remember you're the one who needs the cash and you might have to lower your standards somewhat! For example, don't think that a paper route is just for a kid on a bike. If you've got a vehicle you can earn around $1600 a month on a paper route.
